My post CV: Who I am - in 180 characters:

Journalist, editor, and media consultant on sustainability issues. She is the co-founder and editorial director of GK, an independent media outlet in Ecuador, where she develops editorial and sustainability strategies.

This is my core message about media viability:

The key to media viability is to have an added value product that serves a specific audience and, from the beginning, to have a diversified and customized business model. It might sound like a lot, but it is the basic principle for starting a successful journalism project

I want to contribute strengthening media viability by...

...assisting journalists who are transitioning into entrepreneurship, helping them understand where and how to start in order to establish successful organizations.

I am inspired by...

...projects that deliver high-quality journalism, have a social impact, and help their audiences make better decisions. Additionally, I’m inspired by journalists who have learned that it is not enough to produce good journalism to sustain a business.

Other things you should know about me, my expertise and experience:

I've worked as a consultant and mentor in more than 30 independent media outlets in Latin America. I helped them better understand their organization, put it in order, and become more sustainable while producing impactful journalism. Through my experience at GK the last 10 years, I've learned how to overcome various obstacles in hostile environments, such as in Ecuador, in order to continue producing journalism while keeping the company running.
